Autumn Slovene Courses

We kindly invite you to join our autumn Slovene language courses!

Beginners are welcome join the 30-hour beginner course Let's Taste Slovene from 8 September to 10 November 2011, participants of all levels can join the following courses:
Intensive Course (19.–23. 9.), 20 hrs, Mon–Fri, 5.00–8.30 pm;
Autumn School (3. 10.–16. 12.), 220 hrs, Mon–Fri, 9.00am–12.30 pm;
Afternoon Course (3. 10.–16. 1.), 80 hrs, Mon&Thur, 6.00–8.30pm;
Morning Course (4. 10.–12. 1.), 80 hrs, Tue&Thur, 10.00 am–12.30 pm.

Erasmus Intensive Language cCourse

The Erasmus intensive Course of Slovene starts on Monday, 5 September 2011, at 10.00 am in room 2 at the Faculty of Arts (ground floor to the left). We are expecting 117 students of 26 different nationalities at the course.

 

The students will learn Slovene for four weeks, from Monday to Thursday, and enjoy the various accompanying programme twice a week.

30th Summer school of Slovene Language

We invite you to join the 30th Summer school of Slovene Language from 4 to 29 July 2011. Every year the Summer school hosts over 150 participants from all over the world.

 

You can attend a two- or a four-week morning course, and one of many different elective courses. A varied accommpanying programme is also  held in the afternoons and evenings.

 

Pocket Course of Slovene

You are welcome to join the free of charge Pocket course of Slovene which will take place every Wednesday from 5.00 to 6.30 pm (from 22 June to 28 September 2011) at the Slovenian Tourist Information Centre (10 Krekov trg, Ljubljana).

 

Spend an hour and a half with our teachers and get to know the basics in a fun and exciting way. All you need is a pen, curiosity and lots of good humour!

Slovene courses in May and June

We invite you to join the 20-hour Intensive course of Slovene from 6 to 10 June 2011 and take the one-week opportunity to learn basic communication patterns in Slovene or to refresh what you have already learnt. The course runs from Monday to Friday from 5.00 to 8.30 pm.

 

You are also welcome to join the 40-hour Preparation for the exam of Slovene at the intermediate and advanced level from 23 May to 3 June 2011. The teacher will take you through different types of activities and exercises, which are included in the exam of Slovene. You will have an opportunity to test your knowledge of Slovene before the official exam.

The Jana Zemljarič Miklavčič Scholarship Trust

The Jana Zemljarič Miklavčič Scholarship Trust makes grants to individuals who are either professionally or non-professionally engaged in Slovene culture or in another way contribute to the promotion of Slovenia in the world and do not have Slovene background.

By 1 May 2011 candidates have to send an application for a grant via , fax or our mail address which has to include:

·  a CV;

·  a motivation letter;

·  proofs of activities in the area of Slovene culture;

·  references.


The Committee will award to the three best candidates 2 grants for a two-week course and 1 grant for a four-week course at the 30th Summer school of Slovene.

Slovene Courses in March

A new 30-hour afternoon course for beginners will start on Thursday, 31 March 2011. It will take place on Thursdays from 6.00 to 8.30 pm on 5 Tobačna street (Room 3, 1st Floor). Get a taste of Slovene!

 

From 28 March to 8 April you can join the Preparation for the exam of Slovene at the intermediate and advanced level. The teacher will take you through different types of activities and exercises, which are included in the exam of Slovene. You will have an opportunity to test your knowledge of Slovene before the official exam.
